By the end of second grade, students should be able to spell sight words and words that follow phonetic generalizations correctly. Our spelling program was designed to achieve this goal.
Second Grade Spelling Words
Our second grade spelling program contains 32 units, each unit contains 20 spelling words. Weekly spelling test will consist of three types of words:
- Spelling words (12 words),
- Challenge words (3 words), and
- High frequency / sight words (5 words).
