10 Ideas to Make your Quarantine Productive

In a time where it is easy to lose countless hours binging TV shows or going down a rabbit hole of your Instagram feed, it is important to make the most of your time because time truly is precious. So I put together a list of ten things to make the most of this unique time.

  1. Pick up an instrument
Learning an instrument is challenging but rewarding; it will require perseverance but cultivates creativity and reduces stress during this scary time.
  2. Workout
Working out makes you look better, feel better, and live longer.
  3. Read a book
The average CEO reads over 50 books a year, why not start now?
  4. Go for a walk
Walking is an easy way to stay healthy, improve your mood, and finally see other faces again.
  5. Reconnect with your family
Your family cares about you more than you know and being that they are the few people you can see right now, play a game, watch a movie, or go for a walk with them. Use Zoom or similar platforms to connect your loved ones virtually.
  6. Learn a new language
Being multilingual can help you get a job or communicate and learn more from other cultures. It is one of the best skills to acquire.
  7. Practice your sport
Believe it or not, the world is going to return to normal soon; work hard during this break, it will be worth it when you stand out at your next practice.
  8. Clean your house
Not only does it feel good, it’s healthier for you, both mentally and physically to live in a clean and organized house.
  9. Learn to cook
With restaurants closing, it is time to move on from microwaving a frozen dinner to a healthier, tastier alternative.
  10. Do school work
The work is not going to disappear, get it out of the way before it becomes too much to handle.

And remember, you will never look back and wish you were less productive during this break. However, when this is all over, you may regret not becoming the best version of yourself during this period where time seems infinite.
