Tools to Help Your Child When Learning to Read

In addition to reading to your child every day and playing Erudition, we recommend the following product to jump-start reading.

Leap Frog – Letter Factory

I purchased this DVD many years ago after a friend recommended it to assist my son in learning his letters and their basic phonic sounds. This DVD has become a big hit for the entire family. Both of my children found it entertaining and my husband and I appreciated its educational content. Each letter is brought to life and states its basic phonic sound in a way your child is sure to remember. The video concludes with an ABC song that also incorporates phonics. The video is 35 minutes and perfect for children ages 2 to 5. Although we still have both of our children watch it when we travel to reinforce the basic phonic sounds. This product is fabulous and receives five stars!
